Pool, Spa, and Water Feature Inspection

Swimming Pools and Spas can be an extremely enjoyable addition to any home.  They can also be extremely expensive to repair. We are trained to inspect Swimming Pools, Spas, Hot Tubs, Jacuzzis®, Whirlpools, Wading Pools, Water Massages, Ponds, Water Gardens, and other water related constructs such as Sauna's, Water Storage Tanks, Water Filtration Systems, etc...

What Does Our Pool and Spa Inspection Include?

The whole pool environment is evaluated, not just the pool and equipment. The intention of a pool inspection is to evaluate the current condition of all accessible pool components. We identify items that need repair to make the pool operational, safe, and reasonable to maintain. We also note the condition of the fence, gates, walkway, pool perimeter, slide, diving board, deck, rails, coping, lighting, structure, and other items of possible concern. Here are some of the area's we inspect...

  • Filter
  • Filter Circulation Pump
  • Heater
  • Backwash valves
  • Pool Sweep Pump - if applicable
  • Separation Tank - if applicable
  • Time Clock for Circulation Pump or Sweep Pump
  • Chlorine Generators - if applicable
  • Visible Plumbing System
  • Pool Surface
  • Deck and Deck Drains
  • Coping
  • Tile
  • Level of Pool - length and width wise
  • Pool Enclosure
  • Skimmer
  • Automatic Controls
  • Pool Light with Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)
  • Automatic Cleaning System - if applicable
  • Fill Line
  • Visible Water Condition
  • Slide - if applicable
  • Jump / Diving Board - if applicable
  • Ladder or Grab Rail - if applicable
  • Visible Signs of Leaks in Circulation System

The time needed to complete a thorough Swimming Pool or Spa inspection depends on the size of the pool or spa, but inspections typically last between 45 minutes to 1 hour, on average.

A report will be generated after the inspection is complete on the findings for the homeowner, or prospective homeowner, to review.

We also inspect other Water Features you may have such as Ponds, Waterfalls, Fountains, and Water Gardens. These features will need to be seen before a price can be determined.
